The NETUM L5 USB 2D Handheld Barcode Scanner is designed for scanning 1D and 2D barcodes in retail stores, offices, warehouses, inventory management, and other barcode-based operations. With a CMOS scan engine and a 640 × 480 CMOS image sensor, it supports a wide range of barcode formats for everyday business and product identification tasks. This barcode scanner supports popular 2D symbologies, including QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, and Aztec, alongside 1D formats such as EAN, UPC, Code 39, Code 128, Codabar, ISBN, ISSN, and GS1 DataBar. This broad compatibility lets businesses scan various product labels, inventory codes, and printed barcodes with one device.

The NETUM L5 offers manual trigger, continuous scanning, and presentation modes to suit different working environments. Its red LED aiming system helps users position the scanner, while white and red LED illumination supports barcode reading in ambient light from 0 to 100,000 lux. The scanner requires a minimum contrast of 25% and supports a roll tolerance of 360°, a pitch tolerance of ±55°, and a skew tolerance of ±55°. With a wired USB connection and a standard USB interface, the NETUM L5 provides straightforward connectivity. An optional custom RS232 interface is also specified. It operates at DC 5V ±5% and has a listed operating current of 200 mA. Its 1.8-metre cable offers flexibility when positioning the scanner at a workstation. Measuring 170 × 70 × 80 mm and weighing about 168 grams, the scanner features a black ABS+TPU enclosure. It is rated to withstand a 2-metre free fall and operates at temperatures between -10°C and 50°C.
